The land of Iran, as part of the great plateau by the same name, is one of the mountainous and arid countries of the world. For this reason, it has drawn more attention towards its desert expanses and landscapes than its icy mountains and forested expanses. However, the surrounding mountain systems mitigate the climatic violence to the extent that even in some parts of it, the morphodynamic systems of the glaciers and river operate next to each other. For this reason, shapes that are specific to different environments of ancient and present times can at times be found at short distances and within the same vicinity, and sometimes in the same geographical latitude. The outcome of this natural diversity has been the creation of unique geomorphological landscapes, some of which are often referred to on a global scale as landforms. The study of these perspectives and landforms is the main focus of this book with a new approach.
