Projection of Scientific Maps: Principles, Techniques and Tools
Presenting complex concepts with the language of images, which is called “visualization”, is one of the important categories in various scientific fields in the present era. Using visualization techniques, it is possible to interpret a huge amount of information more quickly and easily for the audience. In fact, to provide a macro view of science from various aspects, an independent field in scientometrics has been created and expanded whose function is to illustrate the intellectual, social and cognitive structures of science in the form of drawing scientific maps. In this book, the author has tried to discuss and interpret the issues related to drawing scientific maps from a conceptual, technical, and instrumental point of view; in a way that after studying this work the reader can master an important part of the principles, techniques and practical tools in this field.
