One of the fundamental issues of humanities in the interpretation of texts is its standardization. Accordingly, the common view in the interpretive tradition has been based on the validity of the interpretation and its standardization; however, with the advent of the subjectivist approach in the West and their analysis of truth, language, method, meaning, and comprehension, the standardization of interpretation faced serious challenge. According to rational principles, truth in the sense of the nature of the theorem, language as a means of expressing meaning and method as a way to achieve it, form the basis for the interpretation of texts. Subjective approaches to understanding religious texts are inconsistent with the purpose of its creator and have erroneous consequences. This work, while explaining and analyzing the common principles governing the interpretation of texts, including the validity of interpretation, determining the meaning of the text, its dependence on the author, examines and critiques the principles, documents and consequences of subjective approach in interpreting religious texts, especially of the Holy Quran.
