The Social History of Shia: Concepts and Principles
Along with the developments of Shiite research in recent decades, the history research has also evolved and approaches such as social history have opened new realms for researchers. Social history frees historians from the old fence of the heroes of history and invites them to look at the masses of people and their beliefs and behaviors in order to recognize and report the contribution of the lower classes in historical events as successors or at least companions of the elites. The social history of the Shiites, as a research subject, is the product of these knowledge developments. In response to the current needs of the country's scientific community in this field, especially in seminaries and universities, this book has been compiled and has tried to examine the most important issues related to the social history of Shiites in six areas: The Nature, Evolution of studies; Effective factors; Main components; Typology of sources, and Considerations about the research method.
