The Foundations of Climatology
Even though the science of climatology is of geographical essence, it uses the concepts and principles of basic sciences such as physics and mathematics, and transition from descriptive meteorology to scientific meteorology requires familiarity with the application of these principles and concepts. It is also necessary to use mathematical and statistical models to study the relationships between the constituent elements of weather or climate. The authors of this book have tried to briefly discuss these basic principles and concepts in order to make it possible to understand different climates. Since all the concepts of the science of climatology have been introduced and defined in this book, which is the outcome of years of study and effort on the part of its authors, it can be used as a comprehensive source.
