A History of the Tahirid Rule Form Beginning to End
After a long time since the fall of the Sassanid Empire, Taherian established the first Iranian government in eastern Iran. They initiated fundamental changes in the political, social and cultural structures of Iranian society, and thanks to prudent tactics and adequacy in managing the affairs of their vast territory for half a century, as well as close relations with the Abbasid Caliphate, they provided necessary grounds for gradual acquisition of long political goals of Iranians and a relative independence. In this regard, especially the just and irreplaceable ruling of Abdullah Ibn Tahir after two centuries of Muslim Arab ruling over Iran was quite significant. Accordingly, with the efforts made in this era, valuable achievements were made in flourishing the Iranian-Islamic culture and civilization, and even the Persian language and literature which created the right conditions for the beginning of a deep and effective trend in various fields in Iran.
