Application of Multi-Attribute Decision Making in Geography
Whenever a geography student encounters activities such as identification, classification, selection, evaluation, site selection with prioritization, he faces the problem of decision making. In fact, decision-making is the main element of spatial analysis in geographical studies and related skills and is one of the main characteristics of a geographer’s success in the planning process.
The purpose of writing this book is to make students familiar with spatial analysis in the planning process. Using quantitative and qualitative methods in the form of various examples in various fields of geography the author provides a suitable platform for identifying, selecting, classifying, locating/site selecting, prioritizing, and evaluating geographical phenomena in the form of detailed algorithms and interpreting the results with emphasis on multiple attribute decision models.
