Contemporary Urban Studies and Geography (Key Concepts and Views)

The existing cities are the most important manifestation of human civilization and form an important part of contemporary man’s life. Whether desired or not, the views and policies related to their construction and essence are changing the world (in terms of ecology, economics, politics, and social relations). As a result of the widespread continuation of this process, the planet earth is turning into a single complex, connected, and highly unstable urban system. By analyzing and explaining different new concepts, perspectives, and challenges in the field of urban studies the author has tried to introduce and analyze the new approaches and attitudes towards the causes of the formation of strong urban spatial structures at local, regional, and national levels. The book also makes a review of the existing instability (in the world), socio-economic inequalities, and/or negative differences between different urban areas of the world.
