The Religions of Ancient Iran
The ancient documents reported the existence of ancient religions and sects in ancient Iran or their emergence from this region of the world. In the present book, Zoroastrian religion, Kish Mehr, Manichaeism, Zarwani beliefs and Mazdaki religion are discussed in five separate and independent chapters. In each of these five chapters, the authors have presented theories that scholars generally believe in, and because of the differences in the characteristics of these religions, they have discussed each in a particular size and balance. Discussions that go back to smaller disciplines such as Kiomersiya, and beliefs and religions about which there is no record, as well as non-Iranians, such as Buddhism and Judaism and Christianity in ancient Iran, have been ignored. An effort is made to pave the way for further student research by introducing valuable books and articles.
