Today, psychotherapy and counseling are the necessities of daily life. This book includes topics such as: identification, expression of principles, mechanisms, and techniques of new and proposed theories of psychotherapy and counseling. This research should be considered as a kind of complement to the topics discussed in the book “Fundamental Theories of Psychotherapy and Counseling” because it follows the developments of psychotherapy and counseling based on general theories. In this work, students, especially at the graduate level, get acquainted with these developments and pursue psychotherapy with a critical view. However, addressing the main issues has prevented a detailed description; but one of the great challenges of psychotherapy and counseling in Iranian society is its compliance with Islamic culture. At the end of each chapter, these comparisons and key challenges are outlined. Finally, a model of multidimensional spiritual treatment and counseling is introduced based on the Islamic model, which has been spreading in Iranian society for more than a decade.
