The Iberian Peninsula, which includes Spain and Portugal and the small country of Andorra in southwestern Europe, ruled by Muslims for nearly eight hundred years, is known in Islamic sources as Andalusia. The Muslims invaded this land in 92 AH / 711 AD and lost their sovereignty over this land in 897 AH / 1492 AD, when their last base, Granada, fell to the hands of Christians. The history of Andalusia is a beautiful and pleasant and at the same time sad part of the history and civilization of Muslim nations. In this book, the history of three hundred and several years from this eight hundred-year period, i.e., from the beginning of the conquest to the end of the Umayyad rule of Andalusia (between 92 to 422 AH / 711 to 1030 AD) is briefly explained and its most important historical events are described.
