Cooperation Systems in Libraries and Information Centers
Interaction and participation are necessary for social life, and human life does not last except in the shadow of social relations, trade, and interactions. Libraries and information centers as living and dynamic organizations are no exception to this rule and to participate in the competitive field of knowledge, they have to identify common interests through their interactions and relationships and cooperation and collaboration, turn them into opportunities for growth and development. Obviously, the diversity and depth of human knowledge on the one hand, and limited financial resources, lack of physical space, and increasing price of information resources on the other hand remove the traditional dream of concentrating and accumulating information in one place from social thinking and information center policy and is changed from “resource ownership” to “access to information resources”. In the meantime, cooperation between libraries and information centers along with the use of new technologies is one of the most important ways to implement this policy.
