The idea of reform in religion is one of the pervasive ideas of humanity. Few religions have ever witnessed a reform movement. Christianity is no exception. In the 16th century, Martin Luther, followed by Calvin and Zwingli, began a movement to reform Christianity, later called Protestantism (ProtestantReligion). Luther and other Reformers believed that the Catholic Church and the popes had strayed from the true path of Christ for the salvation of mankind; hence, they sought to reform the church structure and Christian beliefs, as well as to revive the spirituality of the church. This protest movement eventually led to the formation of an important and lasting branch in the history of Christianity. Of course, the Protestant religion cannot be considered more moral and faithful than other religions of Christianity, and it cannot be acquitted of the perversions that had contaminated the Catholic religion; because the leaders of the early Protestant religion did not have the slightest tolerance for their opponents after taking power. The book "Protestant Religion, Genesis, and Thoughts" describes the origins, history, teachings, rituals, mysticism, ethics, role and status of women in Protestantism, Protestantism in the present age, comparison and critique and finally explains the differences between Protestantism and Catholic and Orthodox rites.
