Comparative Rhetoric: Aesthetic Analysis of Persian and Arabic Speeches
Rhetoric is one of the most important sciences in the field of literature, which is defined and divided into three branches: Ma’ani, Bayan, and Badi. Rhetoric is generally an internal and current feature of all languages. In Arabic, the goal of rhetoric in the early stages was to discover the mysteries of the Qur’an, but later its scope expanded. On the other hand, the Persian language, by merging with the Arabic language from the beginning of Islam until now, has created a special and unique type of culture, literature, and religious knowledge. Therefore, the author has tried to analyze and critique the knowledge of rhetoric in a comparative way and considering the historical course and gradual evolution of the elements and arrays of rhetoric in both Arabic and Persian. The study of this book is the result of years of research by Dr. Gholamreza Karimifard. In addition to the students majoring in Arabic language and literature and Persian language and literature, it is also recommended for those interested in Islamic rhetoric.
