Thematic Cartography: Methods and Techniques
Today, the science of cartography has entered a new era. The development of mapping software and the availability of large amounts of data and information have encouraged many citizens to make their own maps. However, these software do not provide the method of using coordinate systems, how to generalize, how to use large amounts of data and classify them, how to design and arrange the map and many other parameters of drawing the map in a technical and correct way. Cartography is necessary for the preparation of maps. This book has been authored mostly to teach how to draw geographical maps, and the last chapter of the book, which is allocated to the web and mobile cartography, is indicative of its being up-to-date. The study of this book is recommended to university students and young researchers.
