The Rise and Fall of the Abbasids (750-964 CE)
The study of the structure and evolution of the Abbasid government in the first two centuries of its life with emphasis on the role of the military and the characteristics of military construction is the subject of the present book. The author focuses on the three categories of ideology, economics and military institution in relation to motivation, reward and coercion, respectively. This research, which is a rich source for historians, analyzes and configures the general structure of the Abbasid government, the position and performance of their military institution at both the contemporary and time levels, in terms of both historical and theoretical approaches.
