History of Iranian Culture and Civilization in the Safavid Period

Iran with the formation of the Safavid state in the tenth century AH, after centuries of confusion and turmoil in the Islamic era, not only reached a political unity relying in the historical borders, but also it began a new movement in the field of cultural and civilizational developments with the recognition of the Shiite religion, which continued with ups and downs for nearly two and a half centuries, thus laying the foundation for Iranian national identity in the new era. In this book, the author has tried to have a fundamental and non-educational look based on the political events and historical heritage of that time for investigating the most important cultural issues of that time, such as the education system, religious and non-religious sciences, literature, historiography, art, architecture and cultural customs, and in this way has shown that the formed cultural movement was full of the production of feelings, values, norms, facts and ideas that gave meaning to all the experiences of that time and became principles and values ​​lasting in the history of Iran.
