Participation of SAMT Faculty in the International Conference “Russia and Iran: The Role of Culture and Art in Promoting Dialogue among Nations” in Saint Petersburg

The conference took place on October 31, 2025, hosted by the Saint Petersburg State Institute of Culture in collaboration with the Ibn Sina Foundation and the SAMT Organization.

The event opened with a video message from the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Russia, followed by speeches from the President of the Saint Petersburg State Institute of Culture and the Chair of the Ibn Sina Foundation. Subsequently, researchers from various countries presented their papers across multiple cultural and artistic thematic panels.

At this conference, Dr. Hamidreza Khademi, Associate Professor in the Philosophy Department at the SAMT Organization, delivered a paper entitled:
“Sublation Method and Post-Comparative Philosophy in Islamic Art: From Concept to Genre,” which drew notable attention from participants.

Other components of the event included a scholarly visit to the Saint Petersburg State Institute of Culture and specialized discussions among professors and experts regarding cultural and artistic interactions between Russia and Iran. These discussions provided a platform for intellectual exchange and dialogue on the role of culture in strengthening ties between nations.
