The First International Conference on Human Dignity and Family Challenges in the Contemporary World
According to SAMT's Department of Public Relations, the first International Human Dignity Conference (HDC) was held in collaboration with SAMT and a number of academic and research institutes in Razavi University of Islamic Sciences. Dr. Davoud Mahdavizadegan, the head of the Organization for Researching and Composing University Textbooks in Islamic sciences and the Humanities (SAMT), as a member of the Policy Council of HDC Organization, was among the speakers of this event.
The purpose of this conference was to increase the contribution of the Islamic world academics in the formation of a United Islamic Nation (Ummah). The speakers spoke on the following topics.
A. Family, the main focus of preserving human dignity in the Islamic society of the contemporary world.
B. Marriage and celibacy and human dignity in the Islamic family and its challenges in the contemporary world.
C. The role of hijab in the strength of the Muslim family and its necessity in preserving human dignity.
D. Islamic sexual ethics in the contemporary world.
E. The Muslim family of the contemporary world.
F. The challenges of the contemporary world to the family in Islamic society.
G. Emerging family and kinship relations in the contemporary society.
H. Muslim family economy.
I. Human dignity and family in the Holy Quran.
