SAMT's Department of Scientific-International Cooperation hosted the Second Ghadir International Academic Symposium on 23 June 2024, from 13:30 to 18:30 Tehran Time. In the symposium, professors and researchers from the Islamic Republic of Iran, Russia, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Pakistan, Lebanon and Iraq lectured on scientific topics. In this hybrid event, lectures were presented in person and online. This 5-hour international-scientific event had two parts: (1) Inauguration, and (2) Scientific articles and lectures, and was held successfully.

SAMT's Department of Scientific-International Cooperation hosted the Second Ghadir International Academic Symposium on 23 June 2024, from 13:30 to 18:30 Tehran Time. In the symposium, professors and researchers from the Islamic Republic of Iran, Russia, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Pakistan, Lebanon and Iraq lectured on scientific topics. (1) Inauguration
The inauguration began with reading the message of his Eminence, Grand  Ayatollah Nouri Hamedani,  followed by the welcoming message of Dr. Dawood Mahdavizadegan, the President of SAMT. Then Mostafa Gholam-Hosseinzadeh, SAMT's director of the International and Scientific Cooperation Department, reported the plans and measures taken to host the Symposium.


(2) Scientific articles and lectures
In the next part of the Symposium, the participating professors presented their academic articles and lectures. Each lecture lasted 15 minutes.
Lecturers, as well as the titles of articles and scientific lectures:
1.    Dr. Hamid Havali-Shahriari, President of the Association of the Approximation of Islamic Religions, Iran, "Role of Amir al-Mu'minin Ali (PBUH) in forming Islamic civilization".
2.    Dr. Seyyed Ali Mousavi, Director of Research and Cultural Texts of the Islamic Cultural Foundation, Lebanon, "Insights to the words of Imam Ali (PBUH)".
3.    Dr. Ismail Ibadulin, Senior Researcher of Shahabuddin Marjani Institute of History, Tatarstan Academy of Sciences, Russia, "Imam Ali (PBUH) in the folk culture of Turkic speaking people".
4.    Dr. Mohammad-Ali Fatḥ-al-lāhī, Head of the Institute of Political, International and Legal Studies, Research Institute of the Humanities and Cultural Studies, Iran, "Manifestation of absolute sovereignty in Ghadir".
5.    Dr. Seyyed Kawṯar Abbas Mousavi, Researcher and Professor of Islamic Studies & Director of the Research and Translation Department of The Culture Centre of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Karachi, Pakistan, "The role of Amir-al-Mu'minin Ali(PBUH) in the development of Islamic civilization".
6.    Professor Fikrat Shirinov, Researcher in Islamic Sciences, Kazakhstan, "Distortion of guardianship in Ghadir".
7.    Dr. Mehdi Mojtahdi, Professor of History and Civilization of Islamic Nations, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Iran, "Ghadir's written heritage in the specialized library of Amir-al-Mu'minin Ali, peace be upon him, in Mashhad".
8.    Dr. Bahram Zahedi, Researcher of The Issues of The Islamic World and Professor of Political Science at the Islamic Azad University, Sciences and Research Branch, Iran, "Hazrat Ali (PBUH) as described in the words of Christian and Hindu thinkers".
9.    Dr. Naṣībullah Umarov, Scholar and Professor of Islamic Religious Branches, Tajikistan, "Ghadir Khum Hadith from the Perspective of Sunni Scholars".
10.    Dr. Ali Vahedi, Researcher and Cultural Activist, Afghanistan, "The Islamic Government in the Light of Ghadir".
11.    Dr. Mohammad-Hassan Maṣoumi, Professor and Director of the Department of Arabic Language and Literature, Islamic Azad University, Qom, Iran, "Features of Political Government (a general reading of Imam Ali's (PBUH) views on administration and governance)".
12.    Dr. Ali Al-Ibādī, Professor in Ḥawza and University, Iraq, "Guardianship regarding Yum al-Dār and Yum al-Ghadir".
13.    Dr. Dawood Mahdavizadegan, The President of SAMT, Iran, "Ghadir Khum, the Ending of the Farewell Ḥajj".
