Dr. Lebna Khamis: The Republic of Iraq's Ministry of Higher Education intends to continue cooperation with SAMT

In an interview with SAMT's Department of Public Relations, Dr. Lebna Khamis, the Director General of Scientific Research and Development Department of the Republic of Iraq's Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (RIMHESR) talked about the perspective of Iran-Iraq international scientific relations.

Dr. Lebna Khamis: The Republic of Iraq's Ministry of Higher Education intends to continue cooperation with SAMT.

SAMT's Department of Public Relations reported that Dr. Lebna Khamis, the RIMHESR's  Director General of Scientific Research and Development Department, after a meeting with Dr. Mahdavizadegan, the president of SAMT, in an interview with SAMT's Department of Public Relations, talked about the prospects of international scientific relations between Iraq and Iran.

Explaining the official approach of RIMHESR in cooperation with SAMT organization, Dr. Lebna Khamis said: "One of the issues raised in the meeting was about the previously signed SAMT-RIMHESR memorandum, and we are eager for the full implementation of the clauses of the memorandum.

She added: "Since a few months ago, when I was entrusted with the responsibility of the Scientific Research and Development Department, we could operationalize the remaining clauses. As the administrative department of RIMHESR, we want SAMT-RIMHESR memorandum to be extended. "Even our visit to SAMT today was done with the approval of RIMHESR Minister and a detailed report of cooperation with SAMT was submitted to him."

According to the RIMHESR's  Director General of Scientific Research and Development Department, the Iraqi delegation visited the well-experienced organization of SAMT in order to reach new agreements and also to extend SAMT-RIMHESR memorandum and previous cooperation.

She concluded: "At the RIMHESR's  Scientific Research and Development Department, we are looking for the development of SAMT-RIMHESR cooperation for the benefit of both sides, in such a way that we can see its positive effects on the universities and consequently on our students. We hope that these achievements will be beneficial not only for students, but also for university professors, and we will try to achieve this goal.
