Advanced Macroeconomics: An Islamic Approach

Due to the developments in the new macroeconomics and the need to present the views of Muslim economists in this regard, a credible educational resource was needed for teaching in graduate school. The author's view is that understanding Islamic approaches to macroeconomics is not possible without understanding conventional economics because the prevailing method among Muslim economists is to Islamize conventional economic theories. With this in mind, the present book provides the views of Muslim economists alongside conventional theories and models in modern macroeconomics. The book is designed in such a way that it has the necessary flexibility and the respected professors can omit or displace some topics or chapters at their own discretion and according to the level of the course.
