The subject of this book is the historical study of Sufism in one of the most important periods of Iranian history and culture, namely from the beginning of the Safavid era to the late Qajar period. One of the reasons for the importance of this period is that its political, cultural and social influences can still be seen in contemporary Iran. The formation of the Safavid government as the first national government of Iran and the recognition of Shiism as a key factor in the formation of national identity is actually a turning point in the history of Iran that has had a significant impact on various aspects of the religious and cultural life of Iranians, including Sufism and Islamic mysticism. Therefore, in this book, an attempt has been made to introduce and discuss topics such as the background of the emergence of Safavids, the situation of Sufism and Islamic mysticism in this period, the relationship of the great scholars of this era with Sufism and mysticism, as well as Sufi approaches and their most important ones.
