Chaleshtar Lozenge rug is one of the most famous rugs in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province, which has an international reputation. So far, research on these rugs has not gone beyond the description of form and structure, and what has received less attention is the cultural issues that have been transferred, and today may be vague and inaccessible to the creator of the work, especially weavers. Thus, for the first time in this book, an attempt has been made to use the anthropological approach of art to find the cultural characteristics of the Lozenge rug in aspects such as form, content, style, and creativity in the society of its creator; Because the goal of anthropological studies of art is to examine and place art in the community and culture in which it was created, consumed, or exhibited. Accordingly, with more emphasis on the design and role of Lozenge rug, which has a strong connection with the semantic and aesthetic dimension, the anthropology of art has been used as one of the interdisciplinary fields and tools for better identification of Lozenge rugs in the cultural structure of Chaleshtar and the cultural relations around this rug in the region have been analyzed and studied.
