A Short Historical Grammar of the Persian Language
The book, A Short Historical Grammar of the Persian Language, is a summary of the book A Historical Grammar of the Persian Language by Dr. Mohsen Abolghasemi. The book is compiled in three sections: “Ancient Persian Grammar Rules”, “Midwestern Iranian Grammar Rules” and “Dari Persian Grammar Rules”, in each section describing phonetics, nouns, adjectives, numbers, pronouns, verbs, adverbs, prepositions, and conjunction, sounds and word formation are discussed. “Ancient Iran” in this book means the language from which Avestan and ancient Persian are derived. The rules of this section are those that are common between Avestan and ancient Persian. “Midwestern Iranian” means Parthian Pahlavi and Middle Persian, and the rules of this section are related to the commonalities of these two types of languages.
