Summing-up Rhetorics

Rhetorics (Badi') is the study of the beauties of speech, after observing the rhetorical figures and utterance in it. The book Summing-up Rhetorics introduces Badi' arrays in four chapters: “Verbal”, “Spiritual”, “Factors of Poetry Beauty” and “Rhetoric (Badi') Manifestation in New Poetry”. After definition and explanation, many examples and evidences are given. Examples and evidence, unlike the original traditional books, have been selected only from Persian poetry and prose. One of the advantages of this book is that the author, Dr. Mohammad Fesharaki, has mentioned the artistic and poetic value and the secret of their beauty in some rhetoric (Badi'). In the last two chapters, the author has shown the application of Badi' knowledge in the aesthetic critique of poetry and Badi' effects in contemporary poetry along with aesthetic analysis.
