The purpose of compiling this book, which is the result of years of research and teaching experience of the author, is to raise some issues in the regional economics of and how to model and implement them in practice. The content of the different chapters is designed in such a way that it can be used for undergraduate and graduate students in fields such as economics, geography, regional planning, urban planning and urbanism, and other fields related to the social sciences. Another noteworthy point in this book is that the sections and chapters in it have been compiled in such a way that they can be read independently. The reason for this is the great variety of topics in regional economics that the author does not claim to address all of those issues in this book. However, it is necessary to mention that a special and logical sequence has been considered in the design of different chapters.
