The Selection and Interpretation of Sana‘i's Hadiqa

Hadiqah al-Haqiqah by Sanai is the first great mystical teaching Masnavi in the Persian language and after centuries of its composition, it is one of the most prominent mystical poems. The main subjects of this book are provided in three sections: In the first section, the author has selected nearly five hundred verses from different sections of the Hadiqa. In the second part, he describes the literature of the first part, in which he emphasizes mystical terms, Qur’anic allusions, and the influence of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) hadiths, sayings of elders, theological beliefs, and spiritual points. In the third part, he has given about five hundred other verses of the Hadiqa without any explanation.
