Islamic Studies in The West

Oriental Studies in its modern sense also includes Islamic studies in the West. The results and achievements of Orientalism and, consequently, Islamic studies in the West are the roots of the current Western perception of Islam and Islamic countries, and negligence to this trend and its dimensions and consequences will cause our insufficient confrontation with the West, both in the field of cultural invasion and In the realm of the dialogue of civilizations, and we cannot play the necessary role. The main orientation and spirit of this work is to pay attention to this fundamental subject, which seems to be able to change the basis of our thinking and view of Islamic history and civilization.
