Group Guidance and Counseling

The book, Group Guidance and Counseling, includes practical perspectives and approaches in the process of favorable therapeutic changes of group counseling. In addition to the educational aspects of this book, the author, based on his practical experiences during three decades of group counseling and group therapy, emphasizes that the counseling student practically learns how to practice and manage group counseling so that not only to use its principles and concepts in promoting ways to be healthier and to live and communicate better with others in their personal lives but also to use it as an effective approach and treatment method in their consulting profession in working with clients. Thus, in this book, an attempt has been made to present the theoretical and practical concepts of group guidance and counseling in a simple way. How groups are formed and the role of the counselor as the group leader has been developed and can be used by educators, counselors, psychologists, and mental health professionals who are involved in the constructive development of human beings through group experiences.
