The essential role of religion in the emergence, transformation and growth of culture and human civilization is undeniable. So far, many authors in the form of dozens of books and articles have reviewed this issue and reminded that not only Islam has influenced the emergence of many sciences, technologies, literature, arts and customs, but some knowledge and techniques have directly emerged from the heart of this divine religion. This book, which is the result of years of research by its author and has been implemented in the form of a research project based on the title of the specialized course on Shiite history (1), provides generalities, principles, concepts and history of Shiism in the presence era of Imams (AS). One of the motives of the author for compiling this work is that with the help of sources, references, researches and new studies, once again explain the basic principles and concepts of Shiism and critically evaluate the causes and the way of emergence and evolution of this religion, clarify its great contribution to the formation of the spiritual movement of Islam. It aims to indicate that the Shiite history is not entirely strict and violent, but the undeniable role of this religion in promoting the spiritual life and fertility of Islam has been more significant than what has been said and written so far.
