Electronic Banking
Electronic banking is the use of electronic devices in the supply of banking products and services. Iran, with its developing economy, has taken steps in this field by launching ATMs, point-of-sale services, Internet services and interbank information network, but in order to provide a strategic and operational platform, the realization of a capable, intelligent and responsive e-banking requires the special attention and emphasis from the government and industry activists. The present book has been written with the aim of raising the level of applied knowledge in this field. This book, in 9 chapters, after giving a general overview of the definitions and history of e-commerce and e-banking and the evolution of information technology, deals with e-banking at the customer and international level, e-money, standards and its economic and social effects and finally it has a glance to the situation of electronic banking in Iran from the past to the present and the future.
