Archaeological Atlas of Iran (From the Beginning to the End of the Neolithic Period)
In this atlas, an attempt has been made to indicate the places where some groups lived from about 200,000 to 8,000 years ago and in next stages, they continued to expand their settlement, so the last cultural period considered in this atlas is the end of the period of sedentism and permanent settlement in the villages of Iran. The places mentioned in this atlas have been published at least once in a newsletter. Since detailed descriptions of some of the sections in this atlas are given in the book “Prehistoric Iran: Iran from the earliest times to the down of urbanism”, references are made to them at the end of each section. In addition, the author mentions one or at most three major archaeological sites for each of the nine divisions, and briefly mentions four sites to identify the Neolithic sites of western Iran. For each place whose name appears on the map at least one reference is presented, and the reference list is arranged alphabetically.
