Woodturning

The traditional art of Woodturning is one of the tendencies of wooden handicrafts that has left its mark in most human societies in its historical and geographical process. Today, Woodturning has found a special place in the world to the extent that it is considered as a means of artistic expression. According to some evidences, carpentry in Iran has a history of three thousand years and is one of the rare arts that is still alive considering its vast and unique dispersion. However, it is necessary to take another look at this long-standing traditional art. In this book, after examining the history and position of carpentry in the contemporary art of the West, practical and educational topics have been discussed in order to present the latest technologies as well as theoretical topics to the fans of this art –industry.
