Persian Language and Computer: Selected Papers from the Annual International Conference of Computer Society of Iran (Vol.I)

The growing significance of the subject of “computer, handwriting and Persian language” is clearly seen in all fields of application and research and even in the life of the general public. Research on this subject has been started in the country for many years and has been improved every year. Many professors, researchers, and students in universities, research institutes, and software institutes have conducted research in this field over the years. This collection of articles has been compiled for several purposes: First of all, it seems that only the integration and classification of articles related to “computer, handwriting and Persian language” is useful for young researchers, and using this collection of articles, provides a comprehensive picture of the development of research in this topic in the country for them. In addition, the publishing of such a collection will help to explain the extent of the country’s research potential in this regard and will be helpful for the country’s policymakers, especially on “Persian computer, handwriting, and language”. Thirdly, this effort can be a prelude to holding more specialized conferences or the establishment of special publications in this field. In addition, this set and similar documents can be used as required references for running interdisciplinary courses, such as computational linguistics.
