Digital Libraries: Interoperability
The advent of the web has changed people’s information behavior, and they choose the web as their first place to access information. So libraries suddenly faced a huge challenge and found the web a serious competitor. Gradually, libraries turned this threat into an opportunity, using it as a tool to disseminate their information. With the slogan “the right information, at the right time, for the right user”, the digital library today is moving in the direction of thinking about the comprehensiveness and integrity of information, not the vast space for storing information carriers. This book aims to highlight and discuss the exchange of information in digital libraries, which is one of the most important steps in any type of information service. For this purpose, aspects of digital libraries have been proposed and then with methodical scientific findings, evidence and examples have been examined.
