The arts of the book is one of the most prominent Islamic arts that shows the importance of books in Islamic civilization and mostly includes calligraphy, illuminated manuscript (Tazhib), book binding (Tajlid), and painting. The main reason for importance of the arts of the book is the Holy Quran and its sanctity. The Holy Quran has been seriously considered by Iranian Muslim artists in various aspects, including writing, decoration, recitation, etc., and as it is recommended to recite it in a beautiful way, calligraphy and its decoration have also been and are considered to so that one can show its holiness and importance and draw closer to God. On the other hand, it has a great effect on better understanding the content and is very consistent with the text. Attention to the arts of the book has not been specific to the Holy Quran; rather, all books, including religious, literary, scientific and historical, have benefited from it.
