Governance on the Basis of Sustainability (With a Focus on Environmental Preservation)
Sustainable development requires the internalization of the principles and rules of governance based on sustainability, and the establishment of this governance is achieved through the establishment of balance in all three areas of economic, social, and ecological. this situation paves the way for the realization of the ideals of governance based on sustainability, such as intergenerational justice and meeting the needs of future generations - at least to the extent of the needs of today’s generation. On the other hand, in order to achieve sustainable governance, a strong coherence between the three indicators of transparency, public participation, and the capacity of the natural environment is essential. Thus, appropriate and sustainable development requires sustainability-based governance, and its prerequisite is the transition from a growth-oriented paradigm to a sustainability-oriented paradigm.
