General Reference Resources: Persian Arabic
The purpose of writing this book is to acquaint students with a variety of the general Persian and Arabic reference sources in print and electronic format and to develop skills in retrieving reference questions from reference sources. To achieve the above goals, important reference sources such as dictionaries, encyclopedias, bibliographies, quick response reference sources, biographies, and geographical sources are introduced and at the end of each chapter, theoretical and practical questions are presented. Theoretical questions at the end of each chapter require students to answer according to the texts provided, and practical questions are an exercise for students to identify the exact location of the answer by intellectual effort and exploration in a specific reference. However, the result of this effort is the practice to develop search skills in retrieving questions. This book to some extent compensates for the lack of resources related to this discussion and will be used as the text of the course “General Reference” in the departments of information science by respected professors and students.
