This work, while explaining what communication is and its transactional process, explains in detail, expresses the position of each of the basic concepts of human communication such as message and meaning, and provides a coherent summary of its keywords that provide the reader with a logical and systematic understanding of the field. By dividing the types of human communication from the perspectives of “language” and “communicators”, the book expresses the characteristics and issues of verbal and non-verbal communication, self-communication, interpersonal, group, and public communication, in a fully practical way and explain the ways to improve communication skills and efficiencies. Also, a summary of the views of Iranian scholars of past centuries about the elements of the communication process and interaction between these elements is discussed and references are made to the indigenous heritage of communication knowledge in Iran. Finally, the author develops a new version of the indigenous and innovative “source of meaning” model.
