The present book deals with the important, influential and early period of the culture and civilization of the Iranian-speaking peoples (the Median period). The Medes were the first Iranian-speaking people to form a government, paving the way for the formation of the Achaemenid Empire and the subsequent extensive developments. They also played a key role in the fall of the Assyrian Empire and became a source of great influence at the trans-regional level. In different chapters of this book, in addition to briefly introducing the Medes and existing sources and data and trying to answer the basic ambiguities related to the political structure and historical geography of this state, the author introduces the areas attributed to the Medes and the works discovered from them, and with new scientific approaches, introduces historical sites inside and outside the political borders of Iran and analyzes and dates the discovered works and data.
