Comparative Study of the Quran and the Bible
The question of what the relationship is between the Qur'an, the supreme and most complete sacred text, and the Bible, or the Torah and the Bible, is an important, fascinating, yet controversial and challenging one. The similarities and differences between the two texts, as well as between the two sections of the Christian Bible, the Old and New Testaments, and the position of the Hebrew Bible in their view, are all fundamental questions because the three Abrahamic religions are text-based. In the long-standing field of comparative studies and its various approaches, a study independent of assumptions, conventional judgments, and as neutral as possible is a fundamental step in a more accurate understanding of these texts. In the present book, an attempt has been made to clarify the various aspects of this question, especially from the perspective of the history of religions and theological studies. In the first chapter, the introduction and detailed study of different sections are given, and Quranic and Testament terms and concepts are presented in the second chapter. At the same time, it opens up new horizons in related discussions.
