Branch of Shady Cypress is chosen from the three stories of Forud, Bijan, and Manijeh, Rostam, and Esfandiar, which have been written for the Shahnameh course (2) for the undergraduate level in Persian language and literature. In this book, an introduction about the trends of epic poetry/writing in the history of Iranian literature and then some important topics related to the national epic of Iran is given.
