Legal Protection for Software Developers
The production of computer software, like other intellectual products, can be supported not only by intellectual property rights but also by other legal institutions. These softwares can be subject to a variety of protections, including literary and artistic property (copyright), patents, trade secrets, and competition rights. The use of contractual mechanisms, technical measures, and finally recourse to the rules of criminal law and cybercrime law is also important. The authors have sought to scientifically explore each of these protections, citing the rules of domestic law, foreign law, as well as international regulations.
