Avicenna’s logic and modern logic are one soul in two bodies: the body of a young child and the body of a young man who is vibrant. Contrary to the view of some contemporaries who believe no comparison between the two logics, the author of the book believes that the new logic is an expanded form of Avicenna’s logic, which in turn is an evolved Aristotelian logic. In this book, an attempt has been made to reinterpret and evaluate the basic concepts and rules in Avicenna’s logic with the help of new branches of logic. This book shows how difficult it is to understand the intricacies of the works of Avicennian theologians without the help of new branches of logic, and how easy it is to find the many ambiguities and occasional errors in these works and correct them with the help of modern knowledge. It is obvious that with a correct understanding of the past, we can ask new questions for the present and contribute to building the future.
