A Guide to Middle Persian Inscriptions (Sasanian Pahlavi)
Since the writing of Pahlavi inscriptions coincides with their writing, these works contain valuable knowledge both from a historical, social, and religious point of view as well as from a linguistic point of view. The variety and number of these works, which may be on the stone, wall, pottery, papyrus, metal, leather, and other types, is relatively wide. For this reason, this book has only introduced the Sassanian Pahlavi inscriptions. Also, in order to facilitate the learning of students and those interested in this subject, this study deals with several chapters entitled Classification of Inscriptions, Phonology and Pahlavi Grammar, Examples of Texts and Glossaries, and in this work, the most important and latest research of linguists and scientists in this field has been used.
