Undoubtedly, Russian literature owes its prolific life to literary criticism. The position of criticism in Russia has been so important that in many cases, authors and poets themselves have begun to write critical essays, and their works have become one of the most enduring pages in the history of Russian literature. As much as Russian literature is familiar to the Iranian audience through the translation of various literary works, literary criticism in Russia is an unknown world. This book tries to draw a picture of the face of literary criticism in Russia; to this end, after giving a brief explanation of the concept of criticism and types of criticism, different periods of literary criticism in the history of Russian literature - from the eighteenth century to the present have been studied.
