The Small Green Continent has a long political history. Ancient Europe is one of the first places in the emergence of human civilization and the formation of state and government and the evolution of various models and methods of governance and ruling. Since the nineteenth century, due to the modernity and pluralism of political and governmental structures, we have gradually witnessed the establishment of more or less similar regimes based on the models of liberal democracy in Europe. This book, which is the result of more than two decades of research and teaching by the author, examines the active gaps between politics, legislature and executive power, party system and political parties in Europe as well as the development and expansion of the state system within the framework of a single model called the “European model” of politics and government.
