Practical wisdom is a highway of knowledge for the passage of great philosophical ideas from the sphere of reason to the current individual and social realities. Therefore, the purpose of identifying it is not to obtain a historical account of the thoughts of the ancient sages, but to identify the passage of reason to the range of stable systems of human life and human civilization. The history of practical wisdom in the thought of ancient Iran, India, and Greece up to contemporary philosophy in Iran and the West can be traced. This article is a practical dialogue between Eastern and Western philosophy, to reveal how the philosophy of Muslim sages has advanced the flow of practical wisdom in a different way. In this book, the views of Aristotle, Farabi, Ibn Muskawiyyah, Ibn Sina, Khajeh Nasir al-Din Tusi, Mulla Sadra, Descartes, Kant, Durkheim, Weber, Allameh Tabatabai, Searle, and Giddens on practical wisdom are explained and the position of practical wisdom as the philosophy of humanities is revealed.
