Demography of Iran
Economic change causes demographic change; Demographic change is also followed by economic change. If this model of Richard Easterlin, an American economist, can be generalized to social change, it can be said that the socio-economic development of any country is not possible except by recognizing the size of its population. Population dimensions include size, spatial distribution, composition, and changes caused by births, deaths, and migration. A better understanding of population dimensions and explaining its changes is done with the help of other sciences. This book seeks to explain the changes in Iran’s population in recent decades by discussing these dimensions.
